Welcome to this ‘special edition’ of our termly magazine ‘Pulse’.

It has been yet another busy term with our students getting fully involved in opportunities through the RSA like Sports Day, Arts Day and the Secret Garden project. Our partnership with the RSA continues to grow and develop, and it fills me with pride to see us get involved with such confidence and creativity.

This edition also shows the quality of our Sixth Form enrichment offer. No wonder we have received so many offers of places at Russell Group Universities, again this year.

What has impressed me most this year, is how charitable our community is. Holyhead students love helping those who need their support and that sense of active citizenship is a very special feature of our school. You will see efforts to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Children in Need and the British Red Cross. Holyhead students are very generous and continue to set a great example for everyone in the Soho Ward.

Our global reach continues. We’ve been to Madrid, Kenya and Long Mynd in Shropshire. Wherever we go, we continue to break boundaries.

Have a wonderful summer and good luck to those receiving A Level and GCSE examination results.
