Isabel Churcher - Biography

Isabel became a Governor at Holyhead School because she is deeply passionate about
creating opportunities for students to make and experience the performing and creative arts.
She knows the thrill of hearing fabulous music, seeing a great play, watching brilliant dance
and experiencing her own son (15 years old) making wonderful music. She has quoted
“seeing Xhosa Cole win the BBC Young Jazz Musician 2018 sums up what Holyhead School
can help students achieve”.

Her day job is working at the Arts Council, and she intends to use her knowledge, contacts
and ideas from her own professional world to benefit students here at Holyhead. She hugely
enjoyed her first year as a Governor and was overwhelmed by the quality of the Presentation
Evening held at the Town Hall.

Isabel is Vice-Chair of Governors and Chairs the Quality and Standards Committee. She is
also a Link to the RSA of which she is a Fellow.
