Welcome

I write to welcome you to Holyhead School and introduce myself as the Vice Principal for Transition here at Holyhead.  I am delighted that you have chosen to send your son / daughter to us and look forward to seeing them flourish and succeed as they grow into a young adult during their seven years with us. 

Your son / daughter only gets one main chance of an education, one main chance to flourish and prepare for adult life. We will strive to give them the very best because it is what every student deserves.

Over the next few months, myself and your Head of Year Mr Cain  will be visiting the primary schools to discuss curriculum and pastoral issues. Experience shows that transition arrangements are crucial to helping students make a successful start to their time at Holyhead School.

We will be holding Year 6 to 7 transition days for students on Wednesday 1st and Tuesday 7th  July .  Depending on your child’s form you will be invited for a ‘Taste of Holyhead evening’ 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D will be held Wednesday 1st July and 7E, 7F, 7G, 7H Tuesday 7th July.   We will also hold 1:1 parental meetings with either  myself or Mr Cain to really get to know your child.
