Year 9 Subject Parents' Evening
Dear Parent/Carer,
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the Year 9 Subject Parents’ Evening which will take place on Thursday 25 April 2024. The evening will begin at 4.00pm and finish at 7.00pm, and the appointments will be held in school.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you to discuss your child’s progress with their subject teachers. You will be invited to make a 5 minute appointment on Arbor with your child’s subject teachers and if possible, we would like you to bring your child to the appointment as it is important that your child feels part of the discussions. Booking Guardian Consultations (Parents Evenings) on the Parent Portal or Arbor App.
On arrival, you will receive your child’s Academic Profile from the Spring assessments. The Academic Profile will highlight the level of progress your child has made to date, as well as their general respect, responsibility and excellence demonstrated in lessons.
Collecting the Academic Profile on Parents’ Evening will enable you to discuss your child’s progress in more detail with their subject teachers, as well as to raise any questions you have in relation to the Profile with staff in school during the evening.
During the evening we will discuss how your son/daughter is progressing with their attitude to learning as well as their attendance and punctuality. We also want to ensure that we have captured all the information we need in order to contact you regularly with updates on their academic progress in future, along with information about how we keep students safe and engaged with learning.
