Holyhead School is a heavily oversubscribed 11-19 Academy in Handsworth with over 1300 students on roll. The school was designated ‘Good‘ by Ofsted following a successful inspection in February 2020. Inspectors highlighted a number of key reasons for the school’s success including:

  • An energetic practitioner able to deliver pre-planned lessons in a variety of subjects 
  • A person who is calm, caring, approachable, but firm 
  • A dedicated professional with a commitment to extracurricular activities that add value for students
  • A hard-working individual with high levels of literacy and numeracy 
  • An efficient and effective ICT Technical Support Service to members of the school community
  • Proactively monitor and respond to ICT helpdesk tickets
  • Provide ICT training and support for staff and students including instructing pupils in the basic use of software programmes as necessary
  • To manage other ICT Support staff if required
